# Socialnib — Terms of service

These terms cover your Socialnib account, the extension, and this website.
Plain language where possible, because terms nobody reads protect nobody.

## The short version

- Your first 100 generations are free, once. After that it's $8 a month if you want to carry on.
- Nothing is charged unless you go through checkout yourself. There is no trial that converts on a timer.
- You are responsible for everything you post. The extension drafts; you decide to send.
- One account per person. Don't share it and don't script it.
- Don't use it to spam, harass, or break X's rules.
- It's provided as-is, with no warranty.

## 1. Agreement

By installing or using the Socialnib browser extension (the "Extension"),
creating a Socialnib account, or using this website (together, the "Service"),
you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. "We" and
"us" mean the maintainers of Socialnib.

## 2. What the Service is

The Extension reads the visible content of a post and the conversation around it
on X, sends that to our API, and writes a suggested reply into your reply box.
The AI model runs on our infrastructure and we pay for it. The Extension does not
publish content on your behalf, does not act autonomously on your X account, and
has no bulk or scheduled mode.

## 3. Your account

- **Sign-in.** An account is created when you sign in with Google. You are responsible for the security of that Google account.
- **One account per person.** Don't create multiple accounts to get around the allowance, and don't share an account with others.
- **Eligibility.** You must be at least 13, and old enough to hold an account on the platforms you use the Extension with.
- **Closing it.** You may close your account at any time by asking us to delete it. See the privacy policy.

## 4. Your free allowance

Every account includes a one-time allowance of 100 generations. It is not a
daily or monthly allowance: it does not reset, it does not expire, and once it is
spent, generation stops until you subscribe. A generation is one batch of replies
for one post. Reopening a batch you already generated, re-ranking replies you
already have, and generations that return nothing usable are not counted against
it.

Because the Service costs us money per generation, we may change the included
allowance for new accounts, and we may apply reasonable additional limits to
prevent abuse or protect the Service. We will give notice of a material reduction
by updating this page and the pricing page. Allowances are personal, have no cash
value, and are not transferable. One free allowance per person: creating
additional accounts to obtain more free generations is a breach of these terms.

## 4a. Paid subscriptions

Paid plans and current prices are on the pricing page. A plan marked there as
coming soon is not an offer and not a commitment, and no payment can be taken for
it.

The paid plan includes 1,000 generations per calendar month. The allowance
resets on the 1st, at 00:00 UTC; unused generations do not roll over and have no
cash value. The same things that are not counted against the free allowance are
not counted against this one.

Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis at the interval shown at
checkout, and renew automatically until cancelled. Dodo Payments acts as merchant of
record and processes payment, issues invoices, and handles applicable taxes;
their terms apply to the payment transaction itself. Prices are exclusive of
taxes unless stated otherwise at checkout.

You may cancel at any time, yourself, from your [account
page](https://socialnib.com/account) or from the extension's Account panel. Cancellation
stops the next renewal and you keep access until the end of the period you have
already paid for. You may instead pause a subscription from the same place, which
stops billing and suspends access together until you resume it. We may change
prices with at least 30 days' notice before the
change takes effect on your subscription; if you do not accept a price change,
cancel before it applies. If a renewal payment fails we may retry it and may
suspend generation until it succeeds.

**We do not offer refunds.** Because every account gets 100 free generations
with no card and no expiry, you evaluate the Service before paying for it, and a
charge only ever follows a deliberate decision. We do not refund change of mind,
unused time, or the remainder of a period after you cancel. We do correct billing
errors, and we do put things right if we fail to deliver what you paid for. The
[refund policy](https://socialnib.com/legal/refund-policy) sets this out in full and forms
part of these terms.

## 5. Your responsibilities

- **Your content.** You are responsible for everything you post, whether you wrote it or accepted a draft. Read every reply before sending it.
- **X's rules.** Your use of X remains subject to X's terms, automation rules and platform policies. Nothing here overrides them, and we are not responsible for enforcement action taken against your X account.
- **Accuracy of what you tell us.** The "your stack" field lets replies make first-person claims. If you put things there that aren't true, the Service will faithfully repeat them, and that is on you.

## 6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

- generate or post spam, bulk unsolicited replies, or engagement-farming content at scale;
- harass, threaten, defame or target individuals or groups, including on the basis of protected characteristics;
- impersonate a person or organisation, or misrepresent your identity or affiliation;
- generate content that is unlawful in your jurisdiction, sexually exploitative, or that facilitates harm;
- automate the Service, drive it from a script, run it against accounts you do not control, or wire it into anything that posts without human review;
- resell, sublicense or provide the Service to third parties as a service of your own;
- probe, overload or circumvent our rate limits, quotas, authentication or other protections, or attempt to extract our prompts or model configuration;
- misrepresent the Service's output as human-written where disclosure is legally required.

## 7. Suspension

We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, that is being
used abusively, or where continued use would put the Service or other users at
risk. Where it is reasonable to do so we will tell you why and give you a chance
to fix it. If we end a paid plan for any reason other than your breach of these
terms, you get the unused portion back — that is the one case where money comes
back, and it exists because it is us, not you, ending the arrangement.

## 8. Licence and source code

The Extension's source is released under the MIT Licence, which governs your
rights to use, copy, modify and distribute that code and includes the warranty
disclaimer reproduced in section 11. The MIT Licence covers the client only. It
does not grant any right to use our API, our hosted models, our prompts, or our
trademarks, and access to the Service remains subject to these terms.

## 9. AI output

Model output is generated automatically and can be wrong, misleading, biased or
unintentionally similar to existing text. It is a draft, not advice, and it is
certainly not financial advice — including anything produced by the
market-oriented tones. We make no representation that a generated reply is
accurate, original, appropriate or fit for any purpose. As between you and us,
you may use the output you receive for any lawful purpose; we claim no ownership
of your replies.

## 10. Availability and changes

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service at any time,
including features described on this website, and we may change which AI model
serves your requests. The Extension depends on X's page structure and on
third-party model providers, so changes outside our control may break
functionality without notice. We do not promise any particular uptime, latency or
quality of result.

## 11. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind,
express or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness
for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the
Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will produce any
particular growth, reach or engagement outcome.

## 12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect,
incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, or for lost profits,
lost data, lost goodwill, or suspension of your accounts on any third-party
platform. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service
is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months
preceding the claim (which, on a free plan, is zero) or USD 50.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the
limitation of certain liabilities. Where that applies, the exclusions and
limitations above apply only to the extent permitted, and nothing in these terms
limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or
for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

## 13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages and reasonable
costs arising out of content you publish using the Service, your breach of these
terms, or your violation of a third-party platform's rules or applicable law.

## 14. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time by signing out and uninstalling the
Extension. Sections 5, 9, 11, 12, 13 and 15 survive termination.

## 15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard
to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of India have
exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except where mandatory
consumer-protection law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring
proceedings locally.

## 16. Trademarks and affiliation

The Socialnib name and logo are ours. Socialnib is not affiliated with,
endorsed by, or sponsored by X Corp., Google, or any AI model provider, and
references to those names are for identification only.

## 17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page reflects the current
version, and continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept it.
For material changes we will make a reasonable effort to flag them here or in the
Extension.
