# Socialnib — Refund policy

*Last updated: August 15, 2026*

We don't do refunds — and we've built the free plan so you never need one. Your
first 100 generations cost nothing and require no card, so the only way to
reach a payment is to try the product first and decide it's worth it.

## The short version

- **The free plan is the trial.** 100 generations, no card, no timer, and it never expires.
- **No refunds** — not for changing your mind, not for a month you didn't use, not for time left after you cancel.
- **Billing mistakes are not refunds.** Charged twice or charged wrong? We fix it, always.
- **Cancel any time, yourself.** You keep access to the end of the period you paid for.

## 1. Why there are no refunds

Most refund policies exist because you have to pay before you can find out
whether the product works. Ours doesn't, because you don't.

Every account starts with 100 free generations — roughly
800 replies written for you — and no card on file.
That allowance is not a time-limited trial: it does not expire, there is no
countdown, and nothing converts on its own. When it runs out, drafting simply
stops until you decide to subscribe.

So by the time you pay us anything, you have already used the product on your own
timeline, on your own posts, and judged the quality of the drafts for yourself. A
paid charge can only follow a deliberate decision made with full information.
That is a better protection than a refund window, and it is why we don't offer
one.

You also don't pay an AI provider separately. We run the model and absorb that
cost per generation, which is why the free allowance is a fixed number rather
than an open tap — and why we can't give away paid usage and then return the
money for it.

## 2. What we don't refund

Stated plainly, so there is no room to read it two ways:

- **Changing your mind.** Deciding the drafts aren't for you after subscribing. The free allowance is where that decision belongs.
- **Unused time.** A month or year you paid for and didn't use much, or at all.
- **The period after you cancel.** Cancelling stops the next renewal; it doesn't refund the period already running. You keep access for all of it.
- **Unused monthly allowance.** The paid allowance resets on the 1st and has no cash value, so a quiet month is not a credit and does not roll over.
- **Forgetting to cancel.** Renewals are disclosed at checkout and you can cancel yourself at any point beforehand.
- **Accounts we terminate for a serious breach** of the [terms of service](https://socialnib.com/legal/terms-of-service) — for example using the Service to spam or harass.

## 3. What we do fix

These aren't refunds. They're us correcting something that went wrong, and we'll
sort them out whether or not you push:

- **Duplicate or incorrect charges.** Billed twice, billed the wrong amount, or billed after cancelling — that money comes back. We are not interested in keeping money for a sale that didn't happen.
- **Charges you didn't authorise.** Tell us immediately and we'll help you get it reversed and secure the account.
- **Us failing to deliver.** If a paid plan doesn't give you the access you paid for and we can't fix it in reasonable time, we'll put that right — by restoring service, extending the period, or returning the money for what you couldn't use.
- **Us ending your paid plan without cause.** If we terminate a paid account for any reason other than your breach of the terms, you get the unused portion back.

## 4. Cancelling instead

Cancelling is the remedy for not wanting to pay any more, and it is entirely in
your hands. One button on your [account page](https://socialnib.com/account), or in the
extension's Account panel: no email to anyone, no being asked why, and no
retention offer in the way.

If you would rather not end it outright, the same page can pause the subscription
instead. Pausing stops the billing and suspends Pro at the same time — it is not a
cheaper plan, and it is not a refund of the period you are in. Resume it whenever
you like.

Cancel at least 48 hours before your renewal date so it takes effect before the
next charge. Access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for,
and nothing is clawed back. Your account reverts to whatever remains of your free
allowance rather than being deleted — your history, favourites and voice settings
are untouched, because they live in your browser.

## 5. Who actually takes your money

Dodo Payments is the merchant of record for Socialnib. They are the
seller for the transaction: they take the payment, issue the invoice, handle tax,
and appear on your statement rather than us. Their
[buyer terms](https://dodopayments.com/legal/buyer-terms) govern the payment
itself and apply alongside this policy.

Two consequences worth knowing. First, refunds through them are discretionary and
decided case by case, which means they can choose to issue one even where this
page says we don't offer it — that is their call as merchant of record, not ours.
Second, if you were charged sales tax, VAT or GST and you are registered for it
in your country, you may be able to reclaim that tax amount from them; there is a
time limit on it, so raise it soon after the purchase.

## 6. Your statutory rights

Nothing in this policy takes away a right you have that cannot lawfully be taken
away.

One point is worth being straight about, because it is the reason a no-refund
policy is lawful here rather than an unfair term. Where you buy digital content
that is made available to you immediately, Dodo Payments's checkout
asks you to consent to that immediate delivery and to acknowledge that your right
of withdrawal ends once delivery begins. That includes the EU and UK 14-day
cooling-off right for digital services. Access to Socialnib starts the moment
you subscribe, so the consent you give at checkout is real and it does apply.

Where consumer law where you live gives you a right that survives that consent —
or a right to a remedy because what you received was not as described or not of
satisfactory quality — that right applies in full, and this page does not limit
it. If you think that describes your situation, write to us and say so.

## 7. Before you dispute a charge

Email us first at support@socialnib.com. If it is a billing error under section 3,
we will fix it faster than a bank can, and if it is something else we will at
least tell you where you stand honestly.

Raising a chargeback with your bank instead is slower for you, and
Dodo Payments asks buyers to contact them before disputing a charge —
their buyer terms also let them charge a fee where a legitimate charge is
disputed without merit. Neither of us wants that outcome over something an email
would have resolved.

## 8. Changes to this policy

We may update this page; the date at the top reflects the current version.
Because this policy is meant to be read *before* a purchase, we will not apply a
less generous version retroactively to a payment you have already made.

## 9. Contact

Anything to do with billing: support@socialnib.com. A person reads it, and we aim
to reply within two business days.
